The Théâtre de Neuve-Eglise (TNE) is delighted to welcome you back this year and to present a comedy by Michel Walch, based on Pierre Chesnot’s “Pension complète,” titled “Hollywood uf’m Starnabari.”
Synopsis: Magali takes advantage of her husband’s absence—he’s a Navy officer—to welcome her lover Jean to her chalet in Starnabari.
Three weeks of bliss lie ahead… if only Cécile hadn’t decided to unexpectedly join her husband at the hotel where he claims to be staying for work—to escape a Paris that’s more polluted than ever! Jean, a film director and specialist in improbable storylines, will have to draw on a great deal of imagination to hide his affair from a rather suspicious wife.
But since his wife wants to join him at the hotel, he has no choice but to improvise to welcome her properly at the “Les Jonquilles” hotel… where trouble will soon begin to bloom! Lies, misunderstandings, and unexpected arrivals will quickly turn the stay into a real nightmare!
This year, our troupe has chosen a play that features no fewer than 12 actors on stage! A great cast, lots of energy, colorful characters… and therefore 12 times more chances for things to go haywire!
So, step inside the “Les Jonquilles” hotel, make yourself comfortable… and get ready to laugh!
