Erstein, from riverside to riverside

This tour offers the visitor the opportunity to discover the banks that cross the territory of Erstein, focusing on the presence of nature and its connection with water on the territory of Erstein today and in the past. The commune of Erstein is part of the large natural area Ried Central d'Alsace and in particular the Ried de l'Ill around the main town. Although this landscape has undergone numerous changes throughout history (transformation and stabilization of the formerly mobile river courses, pressure from the grain industry...), it is still characterized by the importance of the hydrographic network, which has a direct impact on local biodiversity.
