Description Équipements et services Opening times

This course is organized around the Wool Spinning Mill. The history of the Erstein Mill starts in 1855. Numerous canals have been created to facilitate the supply of the mill.

The Filature is a huge industrial complex that consists of both production buildings, but also facilities for workers such as workers' homes, nursery and allotments. These are part of the habits of nineteenth century paternalist industrialists. They allow the workers to live in a place close to the Filature, to have healthy activities, but also to have a solution of guarding for their children. The industrialists thus ensure the productivity and reliability of their workers.
