Alsace is a region rich in protected natural areas. It is home to a number of protected and managed areas:

How to get there: The sites are freely accessible on foot, as motor vehicles are prohibited on the paths. From Andlau town centre, take the D425 towards Hohwald for approximately 6.5 km. Parking is available opposite the Auberge du Lilsbach near the former Forest House to access sites 1 to 3. To access sites 4 and 5, it is recommended that you park near the hamlet of Eftermatten.

Localities: Im Taelele, Andelhecken, Kirchberg, Am Blienschweiler Weg
Directions: From the centre of Saint-Pierre-Bois, take the main road (D903) for 470 m, then continue on the D253 (rue de Barr) towards Andlau for approximately 950 m, then turn left onto the farm track leading to the quarry for 300 m, at the Wilerpfad forest house. Helmets and high-visibility vests are compulsory, as are safety boots. Visitors are advised not to get too close to the working faces: risk of falling rocks and rockfalls. Dangerous quarry: fractured working faces in the active areas. The older sections appear fairly stable.
