Angsthelm Sauerkraut - A family history

Since 1945, the Angsthelm family, sauerkraut makers from father to son, have been processing the sauerkraut grown on their land in Krautergersheim, the "Capital of Sauerkraut". Every stage of production is handled in-house: planting, harvesting, processing, cooking and delivery of the sauerkraut.
The cabbages are grown in Alsace according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, with respect for traditional techniques, controlled salting and perfect product traceability. Come and discover these stages and taste their production.

The sauerkraut factory is an agri-food business and therefore cannot accept pets.
Visitors are asked to wear shoes (no flip-flops/sandals), as the sauerkraut factory is a wet and slippery environment, so suitable footwear is essential.
