Description Prices and schedules

Located at the southern entrance to the village, this modest chapel is steeped in history and may date back to the VIII¿ century, at the time of Étichon and Sainte Odile. It long belonged to the Cistercian abbey of Lucelle and was an important place of pilgrimage after a miraculous event in 1466: statues, rescued from the burnt-out Sigolsheim church, were said to have shed tears. These events attracted many devotees in the centuries that followed.
Damaged during the Second World War, the chapel was rebuilt in 1963 in a sober style. Today, it still houses ancient ex-votos and remains a popular place of meditation, particularly during summer masses. This small edifice, in the heart of the vineyards, is the perfect embodiment of Kientzheim's spirituality and history.
