It's an undulating route, with beautiful climbs between heritage and mountain panoramas. From Kaysersberg, head for Kientzheim, then Sigolsheim and its magnificent Romanesque church. Continue on to Ammerschwihr, then Katzenthal with its view over the vineyards from the terrace of its château. Continue on to Niedermorschwihr and its twisted bell tower. Once you've left the village, it's time to climb to the Trois-Épis health resort at an altitude of 670 meters. Catch your breath and continue on to Labaroche, a charming mountain village with a woodworking museum, then Orbey, where you'll head for the Col de Bermont access road in the village center. After this pass, with its flower-filled meadows, it's downhill to Lapoutroie. Then head for Fréland and Kaysersberg. At the (former) Fréland station, follow the cycle path along a small canal and through a forest back to your starting point.
