Open at 9 a.m.
Due to the heat wave, the Ferme d’Argentin has decided to open to the public at 9 a.m.
These hours will remain in effect for the rest of the season, allowing visitors to enjoy the coolest part of the day while exploring the farm and giving parents a chance to keep their early risers occupied.
In September, the Ferme d’Argentin will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and in October, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The harvest is over. What can you do with straw? Use it as bedding for animals or even as a building material to construct shelters. The Ferme d’Argent invites you to get your hands dirty making cob and to explore habitats throughout history, whether they’re meant for humans or animals.

More opportunities to interact with the animals! Since this summer, La Ferme d’Argent has updated its activity program. It’s now more extensive, featuring numerous
opportunities to interact with the animals. The program is posted daily at the reception desk. There’s something for everyone: animal care and interaction, illustrated stories, spear-throwing with a spear thrower…

Several times a day, you can interact with the animals, help care for them, or watch the caretakers at work. These activities may vary depending on what’s happening at the Ferme d’Argentin.
Here are a few examples of the activities offered:
• Helping to clean the pens or stalls
• Helping to feed the animals
• Brushing the goats
• Taking the animals for a walk
• Animal care demonstrations (farriery, hoof care, etc.)

For the youngest visitors, we offer daily activities designed just for them:
• My First Animal Cuddles for children up to age 6
• Illustrated stories (kamishibai, puppet shows, etc.).

Historical and prehistoric activities:
Spear-throwing with a spear-thrower
Discover some of the animals that might have been hunted during the Paleolithic era by hunter-gatherers. Can you avoid the traps?
Then, after identifying some weapons likely used for hunting, you can try your hand at spear-throwing with a spear-thrower.
