Description Opening times

Discover the charms of Fleckenstein Castle, built in the 12th century as a truly impregnable fortress. It held out for four centuries before being destroyed in 1689 by French troops. With the combined ticket, take the opportunity to step back in time and explore the lime kiln. Guardian of the Sauer Valley, the Four à Chaux complex is situated on a hill overlooking the village of Lembach. It takes its name from an old lime kiln. The 3 km of tunnels extend 30 meters underground. Twenty-four officers and 600 men lived there.
