Synagogue

The synagogue was built in 1897 during the German period, in the neo Romanesque style. It is the 3rd synagogue built in Soultz-sous-Forêts.
Recently, the synagogue was inaugurated for the third time since its construction. New works were started in May 2015. They aimed to lay authentic stained glass windows and to restore the onion- shaped dome on the turrets.
This religious building has been listed as a historical monument since 1994 because it still bears some Second World War stigma. These traces of a painful past are now completely erased.
