Description

Heiligenberg, a small village of nearly 560 inhabitants, is the gateway to the Bruche valley. The “Saints’ hill”, the literal translation of Heiligenberg, is a truly peaceful place far removed from the noise and bustle of town and city. Being high up on a hill, it is some distance from major roads and not even a route départementale runs through the village. Be sure not to just pass by the Neo-Gothic Saint Vincent’s church with its 1869 Stiehr-Mockers organ.
In the village, from Tuesday to Saturday between 8.30 and 9.30 in the morning, there is a baker, also a greengrocer (Saturday afternoons) and a pizza-seller (Wednesday evenings) alternating with someone selling roast chickens (Monday evenings).
