Le Kaltebrunne

The first documents concerning the fountain are from 1651 and deal with assigning water usage for the communes of Avolsheim, Mutzig and Soultz-les-Bains. About twenty years ago, one of the fountain's troughs was knocked down by a tank. To make amends, the Army opened the place to the public in October 2000, so the crumbling trough could be restored.
