Description
Fort Blumenthal was built between 1874 and 1878 on the right bank of the Rhine. Its shape makes it one of the unified Biehler forts. It has a moat. The fort was named after General Count Leonhard von Blumenthal. After the First World War, the fort was completely destroyed. The fort itself was left as a ruinous field and the remaining area could be used for agricultural purposes.
