Description

L'Eiblen, a vast natural area, is home to a stork sanctuary that, in addition to its educational role, helps care for and rehabilitate injured birds. Many other domestic animals are also found there. Its pond also serves as a refuge for waterfowl.

A remnant of traditional agriculture and isolated in the Hardt agricultural steppe, the Eiblen is of great scenic interest.

It also contains old varieties of fruit trees, providing an ideal refuge for owls, woodpeckers, and other cavity-nesting species.

Two educational trails allow visitors to explore the rich flora and fauna of the park’s various habitats as well as along the river (the Ill River runs alongside the park).

Equipped with picnic areas, playgrounds, and walking paths, the park is ideal for recreational and sports activities.

It also features the municipal swimming pool, the tennis club, as well as pétanque courts and ping-pong tables.
