Description

The oldest known church on the site was built in the 12th century, probably around 1160.

It was a building inspired by the Ottonian style, with a western wing mirroring the choir wing.

Toward the end of the 13th century or the beginning of the 14th century, this church was ravaged by a fire, which caused, among other things, the collapse of part of the western wing.

Rebuilt no earlier than 1313, the church was demolished in the 18th century and replaced by a Neoclassical building.

Only the remains of the former western wing, which had since been converted into a bell tower, have been preserved.

The building has been listed as a historic monument since 1988.
