The 20th-century pink chapel, built in a contemporary style, is part of the Sainte-Thérèse workers’ housing complex.
As such, it follows the layout of the workers’ houses.
The layout is simple: the building is square with a gable roof.
Horizontal windows set high up serve as stained-glass windows: they are adorned with zigzag-shaped tracery.
The western facade features a glass door decorated with concentric diamond patterns, flanked by a wide frame featuring the same motifs.
The entire building is punctuated by beige buttresses, giving it a two-tone appearance.
The Ensisheim workers’ housing complex was built in the 1920s and consisted of row houses for potash mine workers.
A place of worship was thus constructed to allow the workers to practice their faith not far from their workplace.
