Otto & autres contes d'Ungerer

With a multitude of colors and costumes (a single virtuoso actor, Lucas Partensky, plays all the characters and handles all the set changes at once) and an original score by the brilliant composer and jazz musician Ève Risser, this show takes you on a journey through “Ungerer’s Land” that will make you laugh, scare you, and move you.

Otto & Other Tales first brings to the stage one of the author’s most iconic works: Otto.

It’s the story of two childhood friends who reunite after many, many years.

No, it’s the story of the deportation of the Jews.

No, it’s the story of a teddy bear.

That’s how it is with Ungerer: there’s never just one subject, because we know that history is complex.

Then there’s the story of Flix—a dog born into a family of cats. It’s the story of his struggle to have his difference recognized.

And finally, there’s Zloty, a daring teenager who saves the world by reconciling the creatures of nature and the people of the city—an almost psychedelic reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood.
