Illuminated Sundays – Gambsheim

As Christmas approaches, Illuminated Sundays returns to Gambsheim for a new edition filled with lights, music, and a festive atmosphere. From November 22 to December 27, 2026, every Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., come discover a little Christmas wonderland at 3A rue du Cimetière in Gambsheim—perfect for sharing with family or friends.

New for 2026: Two mini sound-and-light shows
This year, “Dimanches Illuminés” is introducing something new: two sound-and-light shows created especially for the occasion, with several performances each evening.
This type of entertainment is still rare in the region and is being presented as a first in Alsace as part of “Dimanches Illuminés,” with lights that come to life to the beat of the music.

5:20 p.m. – Santa’s Magical Countdown
For about 7 minutes, this first show accompanies the lighting of the large Christmas tree. Music, lights, and visual effects set the pace for the countdown until the tree is lit, marking the true start of the evening.

5:40 PM, 6:00 PM, 6:20 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. – Light of Christmas
Lasting about 10 minutes, this second mini-show is presented several times throughout the evening. The lights come to life to the rhythm of various Christmas songs, through a series of scenes blending sound, light, and visual effects.

Between each performance, the display remains open to the public and can be explored freely throughout the evening.

A small enchanted forest in the heart of Gambsheim

At the back of the courtyard, a Christmas display has been set up and remains on view throughout the evening. It blends two worlds: an enchanted forest and a magical ice field.

The display features a large Christmas tree over 5 meters tall, about fifteen smaller trees, various characters and illuminated decorations, as well as more than 30,000 LEDs that light up the entire scene.

A small food stand

To complement this winter getaway, a small stand offers crepes, soup, and mulled wine in a simple, warm atmosphere.

Lighting Display to Benefit Life Pink

Admission to “Dimanches Illuminés” is free and open to the public. A donation box is available for visitors who wish to contribute.

A portion of the proceeds is donated to Life Pink, an Alsatian organization dedicated to the fight against cancer.
