Roppenheim

In 1543, the Barons of Fleckenstein, who had owned the village since 1359, introduced the Reformation into all the municipalities of Uffried. After the disappearance of the male line, with the death of Henri Jakob de Fleckenstein in 1720, King Louis XV decided to grant all rights to the Princes Rohan-Soubise who kept the stronghold until the 1789 revolution.
