Description

The construction of the Church of Saint Michael was completed in 1623. Its Renaissance pulpit dating from 1672 and the organ built in 1791 by Michel Stiehr, organ builder in Seltz, are listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments. Note: a number of Fleckenstein tombstones have been found and are visible near the church.

Roppenheim and its surroundings were for a long time the property of the lords of Fleckenstein who had a castle and a hunting lodge. Traces remain of the Saint Michel church, its presbytery and its half-timbered tithe barn.
