Stengel church

The Baroque Church was inspired by the architect Friedrich Joachim Stengel, Chief Architect for the Counts of Nassau-Sarrebruck and a renowned artist in northern Alsace. Frescoes painted on wood : these paintings were discovered in the second half of the 20th century when the Church underwent repair work. Thanks to a research programme, the works have now been fully restored.
