MUSICAL
Étienne is seventeen years old, lives in Nancy, and kills time by playing a few blues chords on his guitar in his room at night. He is also dyslexic and struggling in school.
One day, his life is turned upside down when he makes a radical decision: to hitchhike with his brother, backpack in tow, headed for Mauritania. Since that day, he hasn’t stopped traveling; he’s traded the guitar for the zarb, the derbouka, the riqq, and the daf, which he learns as he meets new people along the way. A whole new world has opened up to him.
“You think you’re going on a journey, but soon it’s the journey that shapes you—or breaks you.” ” Nicolas BOUVIER, *L’usage du monde*
