The artist worked on an unusual and titanic building: the EDF dam at Marckolsheim. At the end of the 6 km bike path, your efforts will be rewarded as you pass this 200-metre fresco, in which you'll discover the famous artist's signature: varied influences with nods to Art Nouveau and Alphonse Mucha's style in the treatment of motifs or female figures. There are also numerous tributes to the cross-border region: in the center, the word "Rhine" is spelled out in German and French, accompanied by the flags of the two countries. The fresco also features fish, forests, insects and animals. In addition to the Vosges mountains that adorn the background of the work, there's also a Lorelei. A fellow traveler of Banksy, American artist Inkie was chosen in partnership with MAUSA (Musée des Arts urbains et du street'art de Neuf-Brisach) to create one of Europe's largest walls graffitied by a single artist on the Marckolsheim dam. This monumental work, painted in just 10 days, required almost 600 cans of spray paint.
