Church St Ulrich

The heart of the church dates from 1499. The nave was enlarged in 1724. Between 1800 and 1814, Father Louis KREMP, founder of the congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence of Ribeauvillé, was the parish priest. He created the first novitiate there. December 1944, the northern front of the Colmar pocket froze between Bindernheim and Neunkirch. The fighting is very deadly and the village is bombed. Fourteen shells hit the church. The rehabilitation will last several years after the war. The present interior configuration was created between 1973 and 1974.
