Saint Nicolas Chapel

Isolated in a superb location, this chapel dates back to the 12th century.
The original building was the chapel of the former hospital of Niedermunster Abbey, which was destroyed by fire in 1542. The sanctuary was rebuilt in Romanesque style in 1845 by architects Boeswillwald and E. Cron, using materials and plans from the original chapel.

It contains two superimposed choirs with a broken barrel vault. The first floor is dedicated to Saint Martin and the second to Saint Michael. Two side staircases provide access to the upper altar.
