Saint Wendelin chapel - Goeftberg

The Saint Wendelin chapel was built in 1666 as an expression of gratitude to God for having spared the village from the plague. Every year, on Whit Monday, a pilgrims’ service is held outside the chapel. From the highest point of the Gœftberg, you can see the huge 130 metre tall antenna of the Nordheim radio and TV mast on the top of the Stephansberg. In June you will have in addition the privilege of seeing hosts of wild orchids in flower on the grassy slopes.
