It is the interior part of the bell tower which seems to be the oldest, dating back to 1321. The trace of the old church is still visible in the attic of the nave against the west wall of the bell tower. We know, however, that in 1776 the nave was enlarged due to an increase in population.
Around the church was a fortified cemetery that surrounded the church. It was moved to the exit in the direction of Kienheim in the 18th century.
