3 Lakes Hike

Starting from the Ermensbach car park, this 11.2 km hike takes you to three beautiful high-altitude lakes, through deep forests, shaded trails, and mountain landscapes.


From the first meters, the trail rises gently, providing a pleasant warm-up. You will quickly reach the "Chemin des pierres" through the forest. After about an hour of walking, you will reach the Neuweiher, a peaceful site consisting of two layered lakes with clear waters.
It is also here that you will find the Neuweiher inn-refuge, where you can enjoy traditional local dishes in a picturesque setting overlooking the lake.


The hike then continues to the Lac des Perches (or Sternsee), nestled in an impressive glacial cirque. The path leading there climbs a bit more steeply. This wilderness lake offers a striking mineral landscape, perfect for relaxation or photography. Depending on the season, the reflections of the sky on the water are of a beauty that is hard to describe.
