This circuit offers a nature and heritage loop that is accessible to the whole family. Starting in the heart of Sentheim, the trail passes through landscapes typical of the Doller and Soultzbach valleys: open meadows, undergrowth and stream banks.
The highlight of the walk is a detour to the Notre-Dame des Bouleaux chapel, nestled in the lush greenery of the Guewenheim forest. This discreet and peaceful place of pilgrimage offers a spiritual respite.
The return journey follows the old railway line connecting Cernay Saint-André to Sentheim. From June to September, the TTDA tourist steam train runs on this line every Sunday and Wednesday, adding a picturesque and historical touch to your walk.
During this walk, you will occasionally take the cycle path that crosses the valley parallel to the railway line, making the route even more lively and accessible.
Hiking shoes are recommended.
