Follow in the footsteps of a village steeped in history...

At the foot of the Vosges mountains, Steinbach, the ‘stone stream’, gently stretches along the Alsace plain before rising into the green valley of Silberthal, a true natural gem.
The village is crossed by the Erzenbach, the ‘mineral stream’, a testament to its rich mining past. For centuries, its subsoil was mined for iron, silver, lead and copper, making Steinbach a must-see site.

Follow the historical walking trail to discover the soul of the village through its landscapes, mining remains and forgotten stories.
And for a journey into the heart of the mountain, don't miss the guided tour of the Saint-Nicolas mine, open every Saturday from April to October (extended hours in summer).
