From Willer-surThur you have direct access to the Upper Vosges, by the mountain road : climb up the first slopes of the Grand-Ballon, and you will pass through Goldbach.
The famous "Madame Sans-Gene", namely Catherine Hubscher who became the wife of Field Marshal Lefebvre in 1783, was born in Altenbach, which is close by. Do not miss the ruins of Freudstein castle its farm inn, the ski pistes of the Grand Ballon.
