Description
Built between 1876 and 1878 to reinforce the southern front, between the Kirchbach forts (on the right bank of the Rhine) and Fort Werder (today's Fort Uhrich), the fort named "Fort Ixa, Fort am Altenheimerhof" (1876-1883) and then Schwartzhoff (1873-1919) is a small Biehler-type fort with a full moat.
