Cité jardin Stockfeld

Built between 1910 and 1912, the garden city is inspired by the English models created by Ebezener Howard. At the time, the mayor of Strasbourg decided to make a “great breakthrough” to create a new thoroughfare linking the station to the port and the new Bourse district, clean up the town centre and get rid of a number of insanitary lodgings.The city was founded in the Neuhof district.
