Description
The fort was originally called Fort Roon. After the French victory against Germany in 1918, it was renamed Fort Desaix. Fort Desaix, located in Mundolsheim, was built by the Germans between 1870 and 1914 as part of the old fortification system of the city of Strasbourg.
