Since their formation in Amsterdam in 2006, the Rootsriders have established themselves as one of the most iconic Dutch bands on the international reggae scene. Driven by a deep respect for the roots of reggae and an energy firmly focused on live performance, the band has built up a solid reputation over the years that extends far beyond the Netherlands.
From the Caribbean to Istanbul, from New York to Johannesburg, the Rootsriders have shared their music with audiences all over the world. Among the highlights of their career is their performance at the official half-time show for the 2010 FIFA World Cup final in South Africa, in front of more than 100,000 spectators.
Today, the Rootsriders are writing a new chapter in their history with Mo Ali as their lead singer. Originally from Sudan in Africa, Mo Ali brings a unique vocal identity to the band, shaped by his own influences and musical journey.
With Mo Ali on vocals, the Rootsriders continue their journey through roots reggae, Jamaican heritage and an openness to the world, driven by the same desire: to bring authentic, generous and deeply universal music to life on stage.
