The gut knows better than the head; it doesn’t cheat or lie. It cries out in hunger, twists in anguish at injustices, and welcomes both butterflies and tensions. The writing explores relationships between women and men, issues of identity, racism and mixed heritage, without ever giving up hope. A true stage performance by the poet and slam artist Lisette Lombé and the rapper Marc Nammour, *What the Gut Says* is a piece that leaves you deeply moved – physically and viscerally – where bodies defy gloom and words become an act of resistance, care and joy.
This performance, scheduled as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, organised by the Departmental Council for Access to Justice and the City of Colmar, will be followed by a discussion with magistrates and professionals.
