Concert - A Frontera, Las Baklavas

Las Baklavas are a socially conscious band whose sound draws inspiration from the Andes to the Caucasus Mountains. These musical influences, combined with the feminist ethos of their compositions, blend to create a tapestry where traditional and contemporary music coexist alongside personal expressions.


United by a vibrant, celebratory energy, they invite the audience to reflect and immerse themselves in this warm atmosphere of collective spirit and empowerment. On stage, six musicians create a neo-traditional space-time in which acoustic and electronic instruments, rap, polyphony and influences ranging from jazz to techno merge.


Through reinterpretation and composition, they showcase the powerful creative energy of women in traditional music. Challenging the diminished and passive portrayal of women in the original lyrics, they reveal liberated lyrics that assert women’s identity, place and rights.
