Family show – Migratory birds don’t take the train

Foued is seven years old. He loves his mum, France – where he was born – the country that says no one has the right to tell you that you’re nobody, and, above all, he loves migratory birds!


He has never known his dad. So one day, upon hearing on the radio that Italy is the route taken by migrants to reach France, Foued decides to make the journey in the opposite direction: heading for Mali to find his father.


Migratory Birds Don’t Take the Train is the tender and poignant tale of a journey. Along the way, between first-class carriages and borders, Foued will discover the randomness of birth… and a majestic flock of birds.


Inspired by the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this is a universal show that explores the concept of equality with subtlety, a child’s perspective and poetry: ‘All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.’
