Field Commander C. - The Songs of Leonard Cohen

FIELD COMMANDER C. is a stunning tribute to the great Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen.


With the programme ‘Early Works – The Roots of Hallelujah’, singer Rolf Ableiter and his acoustic band set out to trace the musical roots and explain how a timeless classic like ‘Hallelujah’ came to be. Of course, well-known songs such as “Suzanne”, “Bird on the Wire”, “So Long, Marianne” and even “Famous Blue Raincoat” play a major role, all of which are among Cohen’s most famous works – and all of which were created during the period in which he produced his first four albums.


FIELD COMMANDER C. invites you to an evening full of melancholy, poetry, virtuosity and stories centred on Leonard Cohen and his early works, lovingly performed on guitar, violin, cello, organ, accordion and vocals.
