Stories: Otto & Other Stories by Tomi Ungerer

Immerse yourself in the unique world of Tomi Ungerer with a show for young audiences that brings several of his iconic works to life. On stage, Lucas Partensky reimagines three stories in which imagination allows for a sensitive exploration of profound and universal themes.

In *Otto*, the story of a teddy bear intertwines with the history of the deportation of Jews, offering an accessible perspective on memory and history. *Flix* tells the story of a dog born into a family of cats who learns to turn his difference into a strength. Finally, *Zloty* takes the audience on an adventure inspired by *Little Red Riding Hood*, in which a daring teenager attempts to reconcile nature with city dwellers.

Produced by the Epik Hotel theater company, this show offers a wonderful introduction to the work of Tomi Ungerer. The stories invite children and adults alike to reflect on difference, tolerance, and living together, all while retaining the Alsatian author’s signature sense of whimsy.
