Documentary Screening: "Insecticide: How Agrochemicals Killed the Insects"

Through striking imagery, the documentary *Insecticide: How Agrochemicals Killed the Insects* immerses us in the fascinating world of insects and raises awareness about the threats to their survival today.

The film focuses in particular on the widespread use of neonicotinoids, so-called “systemic” insecticides that spread throughout the various parts of the plant. It highlights the consequences of these products on insect populations and, more broadly, on food chains and ecosystems.

Directed by Miyuki Droz Aramaki, Sylvain Lepetit, and Sébastien Siga, based on Stéphane Foucart’s investigative book *Et le monde devint silencieux* (*And the World Fell Silent*), this documentary invites viewers to better understand the upheavals affecting living organisms and the challenges linked to our agricultural practices.
