Exhibition: Plants and People

The exhibition “Plants and People” invites visitors to discover some twenty plants selected in collaboration with growers from Alsace, Lorraine, and Franche-Comté who have been awarded the “Valeurs Parc naturel régional” label.

Plants such as mullein, calendula, chamomile, blueberry, meadowsweet, fir, lady’s mantle, yarrow, arnica, heather, shepherd’s purse, hawthorn, as well as sweet woodruff, gentian, St. John’s wort, white deadnettle, mallow, plantain, rosehip, and the Vosges pansy.

It reveals the benefits attributed to these plants and the traditional uses observed in the Vosges Mountains. The exhibition also explores how producers have established themselves in this region and sheds light on the main processing methods used in their workshops and the resulting products.
