Description
This magnificent house, in the impasse of Father Staub, dates from 1601 and was the first school in the city. Damaged by the bombings, it was restored after the war. The sandstone corner stone on the first floor bears an inscription in German, a sequence of initials of words, which asks the Virgin for protection against destruction (water, war, plague and fire).
