L'heure si longtemps perdue invites us to discover the golden age of the air de cour, a genre of extreme poetic refinement inherited from the chanson of the Renaissance. Pieces for baroque lute, viola da gamba and harp by Gabriel Bataille, Pierre Guédron and Antoine Boësset bear witness to a period when French music was reinventing itself and defining the foundations of its modern identity.
