Le Haycot - à pied ou en raquettes

From the parking lot, cross the departmental road, then turn left onto the blue disc-marked path, known as the "chemin des po poachonniers", in the direction of Échery and Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. After about 2.3 km, turn right onto the path marked with a red-white-red rectangle, which climbs up into the forest. After climbing for about 1 km, reach the Haycot meadows and then the forest road. Pass by the former Haycot inn and continue towards Le Brézouard. The route offers fine panoramic views of the stubble fields and surrounding peaks before reaching a vast clearing. Cross the clearing and follow the yellow-cross signposted path to Le Plat. After 300 m, fork right and continue along this forest track, ignoring the junctions. Finally, join the GR5 marked with a red rectangle and follow it to the Col des Bagenelles, the end of the itinerary.
