Le Petit Haut et Montgoutte

Go around the building, then pass under the RN159 through the pedestrian tunnel, which evokes the old mines of the Val d’Argent. Follow the bike path toward Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines until you reach the hamlet of Saint-Blaise and its chapel.
Turn right onto a steeply ascending path, go under the viaduct, and continue for about 300 m. Then take the trail near the old Burstenbuckel inn, at Rain de Saint-Blaise.
After 500 m, continue on the forest path to the Petit Haut spring catchment. Turn right to reach the Petit Haut (620 m), the highest point of the route, marked by a remarkable sessile oak and a memorial dedicated to the battles of World War I.
Head back down the path along the forest edge to a large intersection, then turn left. After 800 m, turn left again to reach the German military cemetery at Montgoutte.
Then leave the forest and return to the starting point in 500 m.
