Val d'Argent cycle route

Cycling and mountain biking itinerary: the cycle path from Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines to Lièpvre links 2 villages in the Val d'Argent territory and allows you to enjoy cycling in complete safety.

The Val d'Argent cycle route is a very pleasant, well-developed itinerary that runs along the Lièpvrette valley (also called Val d'Argent because of the mining of this mineral in the valley) between Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines and Val-de-Villé, near Sélestat.

Over 80% of the route is reserved for exclusive use, using part of the old railroad line that linked Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines to Sélestat.

A bicycle self-repair station has been installed along the cycle path near the information panel for the Lièpvre truck parking area.

This cycle route (VV31 in Haut-Rhin, and cycle route 42 / IC42 in Bas-Rhin), starts at rue de la Forge in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, and ends on the RD424 in Val-de-Villé (commune of Châtenois), near the level crossing.
