Before setting off, note that some of the Taennchel trails have been closed to preserve biodiversity and the capercaillie. From the parking lot, follow the yellow cross in the direction of the Croix de Ribeauvillé to the Maurice Burrus shelter. Then take the yellow rectangle path (GR532) to the Taennchel summit.
The route passes through Reinolstein (982 m), then Ramelstein (988 m), the massif's highest point. Continue on to the Trois Grandes Tables (Rocher des Anneaux), the Trois Petites Tables, the Kützigbuech shelter, the Rocher des Reptiles and the Rocher des Géants, offering magnificent panoramas over the Val d'Argent and the Alsace plain.
Continue on the yellow rectangle towards the Rötzel, passing the Pierre des Cordonniers and the Losbrunnen fountain. At the Rötzel shelter, take the path marked red easel towards Le Hury to reach the starting point.
