Le Tour du Rauenthal

Starting from Place des Mineurs in Échery, follow the road uphill past the Tour des Mineurs, then continue toward the church of Saint-Pierre-sur-l’Hâte.
Pass to the left of the church and take the red-disc-marked trail to Zillardhof, then continue toward Chauffour and Fuste de l’Étoile. Continue on this trail before turning left onto an uphill path until you reach the intersection with the green triangle trail markers.
Turn right toward Haycot, then follow the red-white-red rectangle markings toward the Amis de la Nature shelter and the base of Brézouard. Continue to the commemorative mosaic, then pass behind the ski club chalet.
Then join a wide path and then a paved road leading to the old Haycot inn. Cross the mountain-side meadow.
At the end of the meadow, take the path marked with a yellow cross to the left and follow these markers all the way down the Rain de l’Horloge ridge back to the starting point. Watch out for a few steep sections.
