From the marker, turn left onto Chemin de la Landwehr and follow it for 800 meters to Fort Sanitäts, a former military infirmary. Turn left downhill, cross the large intersection, pass by the farm, then follow the road toward Côte d’Échery. The nearby fort once served as a garage for ambulances.
Continue to the right, heading up toward the Zum lustigen Spielmann and Reinhards’Eck shelters until you reach the Arbre de la Liberté, where you’ll find a picnic area and a monument dedicated to the 28th BCA.
Then take the path to the shelters to the right of the cabin. This route is dotted with numerous military relics: an ammunition depot, a forge, and various structures. After a fairly steep descent, turn left to join the upper path, passing near the Betonsturm and then the spectacular bomb launcher buried 7 meters underground.
At the Labyrinthe crossroads, follow the trail to the right along the ridge, pass by the Bernhardtstein fort, then descend toward the Col de Sainte-Marie. Markings: red disc, blue-white-blue rectangle, and blue rectangle.
